Special Instructions to the On Signers

Good Day

Please take note of below guidelines in preparation for your upcoming vessel assignment. We are
aware that some of these guidelines may create some minor inconveniences for you; however, they
are for your safety and those around you. Kindly comply with the below.

1) Stay home for 14 days prior to travel and maintain a record your temperature every day. This
may be required to be shown for record purposes. If you have recorded temperature higher
than 37.5 degrees Celsius or develop symptoms such as cough, runny nose, sore throat or any
breathing difficulty, please inform your manning agent immediately and consult a doctor as
soon as possible.

2) Please provide the accurate information on your health condition, medication and other
required details to your local Thome Manning Office / Agent and company doctor. Again, this
is for your own safety and the safety of the crew onboard the ship.

3) Arrange the following PPE for your own personal use during travel to join the ship. If you are
unable to purchase these items, please check with your manning agent. Any expenses
incurred for these items will be reimbursed after joining.

a. N-95 Masks – recommended at least 2 pieces

b. Surgical Masks – recommended at least 2 pieces
c. Hand Sanitizer – recommended 01x100ml bottle so that it can be hand-carried with
you during flights
d. Digital Thermometer
e. Pocket tissue papers

4) Please follow the below personal safety precautions while travelling from your home to the
ship
a. Maintain social distancing (at least 1 metre distance) from other people at all times
b. Avoid public transport as much as possible and use private transport or taxi (without
sharing with other people) when travelling to the airport from your home or if
required during transit
c. Keep your face mask on your face all times while travelling except when eating,
drinking, during immigration, identity verification, etc.
d. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water. When not possible, use hand
sanitizers
e. Avoid touching your face and eyes.
f. No handshakes and avoid touching other people or surfaces as much as possible.
g. Use tissue to cover your face when coughing or sneezing and dispose the tissue
responsibly. Use flexed elbow method if unable to cover with a tissue.
h. Avoid alcohol as it will reduce your alertness.

5) The company has instructed all port agents to arrange exclusive airport pickup for our crew
meaning that you should not be sharing the airport pickup with crew from other companies
or for other vessels. Inform the agent that you will not be able to share the pickup if it is shared
with crew for another vessel.

6) Continue to monitor your temperature twice daily while travelling. If recording a temperature
of more than 37.5 degrees Celsius, please inform your manning agent immediately and seek
medical assistance through local agent.

7) Upon joining ship, please record your temperature at least twice a day (morning and
afternoon) and report to the Master in case if you have any symptoms such as cough, runny
nose, sore throat, or difficulty in breathing.

8) Please follow the Master’s orders related to additional personal safety onboard for COVID-19
prevention.
