Comprehensive Synthesis about “Smart Construction Materials and Techniques”

It is a basic knowledge for an average person to know that to build houses, bridges, and any kind
of contraption is to have materials. Two most common knowledge of an average person is
affordability and durability of the materials to be used. A good Engineer thinks way ahead of an
average person in terms of construction and such.
The research paper’s objectives are to introduce and implement “smart” construction materials
and techniques for it to give insights, advancement, and improvements in the field of
construction industry. To fully immersive the readers and to make them understand what they
want to implement, they enumerated the necessary fundamentals of construction materials. The
authors made their analysis of the data taken through the standards that they made for them to
consider a construction material is smart and super. According to their standards, a construction
materials is said to be super and smart if: Save overall building energy, Make building
esthetically pleasing, cut cost of construction, easily available, increase life span of building
upgrade building quality and make the building safe for living. Although that there were plenty
of super materials and techniques that were mentioned in the paper, by using their standards,
they have considered only the best that are fully functional with their standards and that can be
used according to the enumerated fundamentals in construction.
All of the super materials that were mention in the research has its own uniqueness. The
standards that the authors were mildly theirs and of course, some will disagree on their choices.
But what’s important is their objective “To give insight, improvement, and advancement in the
field of construction industry.” I for one believe that they did accomplish their research
objective. This research paper could help future engineers, designers and etc. in their future
career to make the construction industry more advanced and improved.
