REFLECTION PAPER

The goals of this seminar program are to enhance the intellectual atmosphere of
the Masters in Education, to provide the graduate studies opportunities to develop
skills in publicly presenting research results, and to facilitate faculty monitoring of
graduate students research progress.

SUMMARY
Scientific research is a systematic, controlled, empirical, and critical investigation
of hypothetical propositions about the presumed relations among natural phenomena.
[ CITATION Fre \l 13321 ]. Good quality research provides evidence that is robust, ethical,
stands up to scrutiny and can be used to inform policy making. It should adhere to
principles of professionalism, transparency, accountability and auditability. In
narrowing the research topics to research questions, Whether you are assigned a
general issue to investigate, given a list of problems to study, or you have to identify
your own topic to investigate, it is important that the scope of the research problem
underpinning your study is not too broad, otherwise, it will be very difficult to
adequately address the problem in the space and time allowed. You could experience a
number of problems if your topic is too broad, including: You find too many
information sources and, as a consequence, it is difficult to decide what to include or
exclude or what are the most important; You find information that is too general and, as
a consequence, it is difficult to develop a clear framework for examining the research
problem; A lack of sufficient parameters that clearly define the research problem makes
it difficult to identify and apply the proper methods needed to analyze it; You find
information that covers a wide variety of concepts or ideas that can't be integrated into
one paper and, as a consequence, you easily trail off into unnecessary tangents.
Statistics is a branch of mathematics dealing with the collection, analysis, interpretation,
and presentation of masses of numerical data. [ CITATION Mer \l 13321 ]. Statistics are
important in any research. Simple observations are not enough anymore to make
conclusive decisions, no board or committee or anyone will take your research as
seriously if you do not provide the statistics to back it up. Statistics showing how much
a new technique or plan will effect the learning potential of students, or effectiveness of
teachers, or even the budget for the school, will greatly affect the chances of
improvements being made.

REFLECTION
The main purpose of the research is to get deep into the topic so that something
helpful can churn out, which can be helpful for everybody and used in that particular
niche sector. The quality which you maintain while research should always be high so
that the information that you get can be used in certain policies and any future project
implications.

QUESTIONS FOR CLARIFICATION

1. How will global pandemic affect research in the near future?

2. How will a person survived research of having a little dyscalcula? Or having a
weakness in numbers?
3. What will be the greatest impact of research in Education?
