Central to the design of Leaders of Learning is the idea of choice.

Why do we focus on choice?
Because as learning becomes a much more complicated and widespread activity
in society at large-- not confined exclusively
to the education sector-- people who are interested in leading learning,
and in designing learning environments, and in creating opportunities
for people to learn, will have to focus much more on choice.
That is-- where do you want to lead?
What type of organization do you want to lead?
How do you want to spend your life in a career as a leader of learning?
What sorts of learning activate you, make you interested,
make you want to dedicate your life to it?
With the expansion of learning as an activity in society
and the increase in complexity of the learning sector,
it's going to become much more important for people
to make active, personal choices about where they want to lead,
what they want to lead, and how they want to lead.
And Leaders of Learning is designed to help you understand, and begin to form,
and make those choices.
