To Whom It May Concern,

I have been asked to write a letter of recommendation for Adrienne Green for the purpose of
applying to college, as well as to be included in her senior portfolio, and it is my pleasure to do so. I have
known Adrienne just over two years now as an integral member of my choir program, and she is a
wonderful student. She joined my Treble Choir at the beginning of her sophomore year at Buckingham
Collegiate Charter Academy, then my Mixed Choir her junior year, and has proven himself to be a
dedicated, hard-working, significant part of the program. In the spring of her junior year, Adrienne endured a
rigorous audition process, and was selected to be a member of the Advanced Choir for the current school
year. Currently, through her work in both the Treble Choir and the Advanced Choir, Adrienne exhibits a
strong work ethic, dedication to the task at hand and to the mission of our choir program, even in the midst
of distance learning.
Adrienne is an enthusiastic member of the student body at Buckingham Collegiate Charter Academy.
She was a member of the Drama Club during her freshman and sophomore years, helping to raise funds for
the major school productions during that time, as well as being cast in one of them (Hairspray ) during her
sophomore year. Adrienne was also a member of the Black Student Union during her junior year, playing a
key role in a campus-wide march and school assembly, put on by the BSU members. Outside of her school
activities, Adrienne has been involved in the community through volunteer work during her freshman and
sophomore years with the Missouri Street Theatre, where she helped sell raffle tickets, served as an usher,
checked tickets, and worked the concession stands. Beginning during her sophomore year and continuing
through the present, Adrienne serves with the Families Helping Families organization, helping to package
boxes of food for low income families, and delivering the packages to those families.
Adrienne has had to overcome some personal challenges in her life, especially as it pertains to her
family. During the spring of her junior year, her father was rushed to the emergency room. He was released
and allowed to return home months later, but has been bed ridden since that time. Adrienne could have
allowed these events in her life to bring her academic pursuits to a halt. However, she made the conscious
decision to push herself even harder, and has actually turned her grades around. Whereas she previously
managed a B+/C average, she is now maintaining a 4.0 GPA for the current school year.
Adrienne is an intelligent, hard-working, kind young lady, who is not afraid to take on a worthwhile
challenge. She has definitely been a quiet strength within my choir program for the past two years. I am
confident she will continue to grow as a person, and look forward to seeing where this next chapter leads as
she takes on the next phase of her education. Should you have any questions about Adrienne, her
character, or work ethic, please feel free to contact me using the information below.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kristen Goree
