Economic development in the Philippines has gone through win and fail
cycles, and recent events of moderate financial expansion have had limited
effect on poor people. This inequality worsened especially when the pandemic
broke out and disparity across levels of pay, regions, and areas where
unmanaged population growth are viewed as factors where in there’s a need
to have reduction efforts to relieve the poverty issue in our country.

Since most rural network tries to improve their efforts to ease the
causes and side effects of the problem, it makes a difference of which
hypothesis of neediness is accepted to be answerable for the issue being
tended to. Essentially, poverty can be understood through multiple social
science perspectives and this includes anthropology and sociology. However,
some poverty eradication projects only aim to address some causes of
poverty. The anthropological perspective on poorness or poverty should
accommodate different scientific disciplines and observation as it looks to
clarify the issue in our country. This is the significance of addressing difficult
situations and looking unto it through the lens of anthropology. The
connections between human relationships and and the social environment
that we act upon is thoroughly examined, maximizing the use of ties between
people. Perspectives are established in relation across societies just as in the
data collection from the neighborhood and all the various cultures in the
society. Reviews from anthropologists should also incorporate in their
literature about poverty, the major challenges that are seen and experienced
by the people who are on the line of poverty and is constantly being affected,
for the study to have an accurate and fair information. Taking a closer look at
the filipino citizens, some residents will probably say that most of their
neighbors who are living in the poverty line are lazy. Also, an article was
released where in they interviewed a project staff of a national government
poverty reduction program and asked why there were so many poor people in
their province, their response was, again, because many of them are lazy.
These just proves that poor people are seen as humans who lacks initiative
and yearning to be successful. Therefore, they are unable to get themselves
out of the poverty line. Moreover, these should be researched and studied
well so that if suggested solutions come up, motivational progress can
continue and help our economy.

By looking through the reports that have gone through an

anthropological study, the issue that we are facing today can be
comprehensively analyzed. The causes of poverty and recommended ways
to accelerate poverty reduction can receive more attention from the authorities
and thereby will make it’s way to achieve more growth. There is also a need
to enhance our government's poverty eradication strategies and this is one
way to innovate and involve the coordinated response from different views to
the problem. It is necessary that citizens would support these kind of activities
for the sake of the betterment of our economy as a nation and anthropologists
should also do their work and be fair from selecting their sources for
interviews and be keen on observing the people involved.
