FORMALISTIC APPROACH

The poem depicts an environment free from civilization where social interaction, technology and
recreations are non-existent. Due to monotony of such environment Adam was able to consume
the forbidden fruit to satisfy his impulsive self. Today, as something for fun is sought, Eden has
been compared to this earth, as there are many things to implement to cope with our mood
swings.
FEMINISTIC APPROACH
The monotony of the environment where Adam lives would show how the serpent was able to
deceive him to eat the forbidden fruit. Thus it is conclusively alarming how an environment could
greatly influence one’s decision and upbringing. In return, Adam at the end, walked out of the
Garden in lieu of his gross negligence with one more characters behind him.
Environment No.1: IN A JEEPNEY

Barrier 1: “Plastic Barriers


Scenario:
The use of “Plastic Barriers” in response to the Social Distancing impost as a health protocol for
Covid-19.
Solution:
Always make sure to speak clearly and loudly when conversing inside a jeepney.
Barrier 2: Noise Pollution
Density of Noise coming from other vehicles.
Solution
One may opt to somehow check whether it is too urgent to talk in such time and place to with
the person or patiently wait for a convenient timing to speak.

Environment No.2: IN SCHOOL


Barrier 1: Oral barriers
Scenario:
Communication barriers in the classroom may exist if oral communication is not clear. Some
problems in oral communications include using words with ambiguous meanings
Solution:
The teacher must make sure the students clearly understand the meanings of words. Another
problem in oral communications is using generalizations and stereotypes. Classroom
communication should be specific to the topic and without bias. A teacher must also take
caution not to make a premature conclusion before she has all the facts about a topic or
situation. Finally, a teacher must overcome any lack of self-confidence and deliver the message
with assertiveness and clarity.
Barrier 2: Perception barriers
Scenario:
Perception barriers as to lectures where student’s may not be able to grasps the substance of
the lecture through its teachers. Some students may receive and hear the same message but
interpret it differently.
Solution:
As for students, paying attention to detail is important. Important aspects can be missed by not
covering a subject in depth. A teacher should also learn to focus on both positive and negative
aspects of a conversation. By having a distorted focus, a teacher may only focus on the
negative aspects of a conversation.

Environment 3: Stores/Mall

Barrier 1: Uncoordinated systems and priorities


Scenario:
Store managers struggle to execute because of uncoordinated systems and priorities. They
struggle to juggle several communication channels, visual merchandising guides, KPI’s,
campaigns, competitions and training initiatives.
Solution:
Ensure ONE communication channel to and from stores. This way, staff don’t have to open e-
mails, access intranets, use Facebook etc. And also make information action oriented.
Barrier 2: Language Barriers
Scenario:
Workers from engineering department may use significantly different terminology to those in
your sales department, so it’s important to keep everyone on the same page.
Solution:
Encourage employees to speak slowly and clearly, especially when dealing with people. Also,
avoid using technical jargon at all costs. When employees from different departments are
communicating, it’s crucial that semantic misunderstandings don’t occur.
