Party Planner

You are in charge of planning a party. It can be for any occasion and you are given an
unlimited budget, however, the budget should be reasonable. Below is a party planning
guide. Follow the directions to properly plan your party. All work can be done on a separate
sheet of paper, but in an organized way, as you will be turning in the work along with this
paper. Have fun!

First determine how many people you are going to invite to the party. Write that number
here _______.

Go to Partycity.com, choose a theme for your party, write down the price for each of the
following essential items for a party (the 3 blank spaces are free choice decoration items):

Item Price Quantity Total

Dinner plates
Napkins
Dessert Plates
Dessert Napkins
Cups
Balloons
Table Cloth

How much total is being spent on party supplies and decorations?

Next your guests will need to have a Goodie Bag when they leave as a thank you for
attending the party.

Is the number of children at the party different then the number of guests that were
determined above, if so record the number or children here ____________.

Again, shopping on Partycity.com, determine the objects you will put in the Goodie Bags.
You will need a bag to put the items in and at least five items for the bag. Record your
shopping on the chart below:

Item Quantity in Package # of packages Total Spent

Goodie Bag bags

How much total is being spent just on Goodie Bags?

How much is being spent per child?

Don’t forget to feed your guests!

You plan to order pizza for your party. You need to plan for each person to get two slices
of pizza. Your Pizzeria choices are Hungry Howies, Little Ceasar’s, or Pizza Hut. Each pizza
is cut into 8 slices. Determine how many pizzas you will need to order for your party and
then compare the prices at each of the three Pizzeria’s and decide where you will order
your pizza from. Create your own chart to organize your information.

Where did you decide to order your pizza from? Explain why.
Now that your party is planned, create an invitation to your party; remember to include all
the important details: Who, What, Where, and When. This can be attached; it does not
need to be drawn below. You could use construction paper or create it on the computer, it
is up to you.
