Pre-Assessment:
I will observe the children for a couple days before engaging in
fine-motor activities to gauge their level of skills. I will document
how fast it takes them to complete each task, and how accurate it
is.
Lesson Procedure and Activities: (the format will depend on the
type of lesson such as ELA or science)
Introduction:
I will start by giving each student a couple of beads and get them to
sort them by color.
Activities:
1. Each child will get a string of yarn and a couple of beads
for each color of the rainbow.
2. Then, the children will string the beads onto the string of
yarn in the order of a rainbow.
3. I will go around to each student to help them.
Closure:
The children can try to tie their string together to create a
bracelet, necklace, etc.
Differentiation:
For this lesson, there should not be any part of the lesson that the
Spanish speaking child or the children that need help with speech
articulation will need extra help with.
Formative Assessment/Evaluation:
I will observe the children for a couple days before engaging in
fine-motor activities to gauge their level of skills. I will document
how fast it takes them to complete each task, and how accurate it
is.
