What Jesus Said About The Holy Spirit
John 3:5-8 (NIV) (5) Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one
can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and
the Spirit. (6) Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth
to spirit. (7) You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You
must be born again.' (8) The wind blows wherever it pleases.
You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or
where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

THE NEW BIRTH IS SPIRITUAL – IT IS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD

John 7:37-39 (NIV) (37) On the last and greatest day of the
Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink. (38) Whoever believes in me, as
the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from
within him." (39) By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who
believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit
had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

you another Counselor to be with you forever-- A Gift of the
Father from the heart of the Son

COUNSELOR / COMFORTER = SOMEONE CALLED IN TO HELP

John 14:17 (NIV) (17) the Spirit of truth. The world cannot
accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you
know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
JESUS IS THE TRUTH BY HIS SPIRIT – THAT TRUTH LIVES IN US

John 14:18 (NIV) (18) I will not leave you as orphans; I will come
to you.
WE ARE NOT ALONE IN THIS WORLD
WE HAVE THE SPIRIT OF GOD LIVING AND DWELLING IN US

John 14:19-20 (NIV) (19) Before long, the world will not see me
anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
(20) On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you
are in me, and I am in you.

OUR HELPER WHO COMES ALONG SIDE US IN ALL MATTERS OF

LIFE -- HAS MADE A PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN US

HE WILL REMIND US OF WHAT CHRIST HAS SAID—EVEN WHEN

ALERT US AND GET US IN LINE
