1) Removing cover
To measure Test Point of Main board of DEXXUM T, remove Main module and
cover from DEXXUM T system and reinstall.
For location of Main module, see 1-3. Main components of DEXXUM T
A. Remove all cables fixed to Main module from module.
B. Remove fixed wrench bolts to Main module and turn Main module over.
C. Remove bolts from Main module and cover as shown in Figure 2-5.

Figure 2-5. Removing Main board cover

2) Measuring Test Point voltage and short-circuit inspection

A. Prepare DVM(Digital Multi Meter), connect connector and turn Power ON.
A. For short-circuit inspection, set to resistance test(Ω) and place each side of nod
onto each Test point with Power OFF and GND respectively. Check whether it
is more than 50Ω. Check for short-circuit at each Test Point: ATP1, ATP3, APT4,
ATP11, ATP12, HTP2, DTP12, DTP13.
B. To check voltage, set to DC voltage test to check voltage at each Test Point:
ATP1, ATP3, APT4, ATP11, ATP12, HTP2, DTP12, DTP13.
If Power is abnormal, replace Main board. See Chart 2-1 for voltage range. For
replacing Main board, see 3.Replacement that lists methods for module
replacement.

7-Segment indicator shows current operation status of Main board.
See Chart 2-2 to compare current operation and indicator.

Example)
A. If indicator shows “7” or “9” when the equipment is not moving, Motor Driver or
Motor may be the problem.
B. If indicator shows “3” (X-ray Shot) with nothing detected on Test program, X-ray
generator or detector may be the problem.
C. If indicator shows “5” even when it contacted to Limit while moving Left /
Bottom direction at “5”, Limit SW / Cable may be the problem.

Check WD1 indicator: if OFF, check whether the equipment is ON and cable
connection. Even without IP address setting, physical connection makes WD1 ON;
WD4 is ON if connected at100M.
DEXXUM T used 100M bps therefore both WD1 and WD4 should be “ON”.

When checking errors on SCAN image, there should not be any pattern on the image
when scanning without putting anything in.
If there is a pattern or a block dot of “0” count without data on pixel, this can be a
problem either in X-ray generator or in the detector.
First, by running a noise examination of detector, check any errors of director. Then
check errors on the X-ray generator.

1) Parameter
Parameter is an item that gives a slope and offset for the value in accordance with the
algorithm of BMD value.
This is an item that reflects the compensated value to a particular part. For basic
configuration, refer to the figure in the bottom.
Slope and offset are only used in special cases. Therefore, the basic configuration
values are used in general.

<Basic configuration for CZT version> <Basic configuration for PMT version>

2) Image Size (Normal)

Image size is the size of image that is measured during scanning process.
Both width and height can be set in accordance with the scan size and are applied to the
scan size of either Normal Scan or Fast Scan mode.

3) X Scan Area (only software 1R01 ~ 1R06 Version is available)

When designating the coordinates for scanning, it means the Limit Position that is hung
in the Left and Right of software.
. When designating the coordinates, if the coordinate value is smaller than set X or is
bigger than Y, it becomes an error.

4) Default position
Put in the coordinate of default position that is moved to the Default position while
scanning.

5) Image Size Ext

Width(Tscan) : When it is in ‘T’ Scan mode, it is the image width up to the initial preset
line.
Height : It is a number of Scan Lines on Y-axis in Fast scan mode.

6) File Header
It shows a version of Algorithm that is recorded on scanned raw image. It is set as shown
below depending on the Detector Type.

7) QC path /Standard Fitting/Thin fitting

QC path :
It shows the name of the currently loaded file when each QC data that is generated after
device calibration is inserted to UI. ( “ 11) Refer to the QC Data Input)

Standard fitting :
It is the generated value after Daily Phantom scanning with the device in Standard mode.

Thin fitting :
It is the generated value after Daily Phantom scanning with the device in Thin mode.

8) Standard BMD (QC phantom)

For the value adjustment, the original Phantom value that is written on Daily Phantom is
input because the original value of Phantom varies for each device.

9) Daily QC condition
Daily QC phantom sets the margin of error for the value from each TEST.
Value of 0.04 means that if it deviates more than 4% from the standard value, it pops up
the error message.
The higher the value is, the bigger the allowable margin of error becomes. There are two
items: Error and EachError. As a result of BMD fitting, the error value of Slope and Offset
is calculated respectively. This value sets the allowed error limit. That is, Standard Error
means the limiting value of slope error after measuring BMD Fitting in Standard mode.
Standard EachError means the limiting value of Offset error.

10) Calibration Position

It is the position information about 4 places that are tested during Daily TEST.

11) Load QC file

It is the menu that is used when loading QC file. DEXXUM T uses total 4 QC files and
inserts the 4 files that are generated after QC work.
For storing files, refer to DEXXUM T Calibration Manual.

13) Firmware ver 1.9 or above required

It is an option to check if it satisfies the required firmware version. For higher versions,
leave the firmware always unchecked.

14) Forearm Scan

It is an option to decide to carry out the Forearm scan function. Once it is checked, UI is
added for Forearm scan.
