BUSINESS DESCRIPTION

Mrs. Faiza Bawumi Sayed Ahmad is the owner of the rice wholesale company Faiza
Sdn. Bhd. and she is 74 years old. When she got married and get a child, the successful female
entrepreneur was an Egyptian-born women have migrated to Malaysia because she had to
follow her husband in 1964. At that time, she was able to master English and fluent in the Malay
Language properly. This is her friendly attitude and sociability with her neighbours to become a
major factor in her skilful use of Malay Language. Although she is an older woman, it has not
prevented her from devising strategies to further strengthen her position in various branches of
business in the country. Mrs. Faiza actually been born in the family who is active in the
business.

Since childhood she has been involved in business and he did not expect to be involved
in this business (Nasri, 2010). She does not think that her experience as a cashier at her
father's store has prompted her to take this business seriously. When she emigrated to
Malaysia Mrs. Faiza was looking for a rewarding activity so that her time was not wasted. She
started by making a stitching stitch with a capital of RM 4 and selling a variety of kitchen items.
Mrs. Faiza has decided to buy linen and sew small dresses for her little ones. In addition, she
has also managed to produce a set of pillow cases and her sophisticated sewing has led his
friends to buy them.

Later, Mrs. Faiza decided to do the encyclopaedia business and then the small business
of making a small plate and selling it to her friends and neighbours. These small businesses are
exploited her relatively high gain and Mrs. Faiza has made the profit as capital for further
business to be conducted. Capitalizing on the sales of her stitches, Mrs. Faiza decided to open
a new business, a spice business when she moved to Mersing. This is because she is very
interested in producing spices. Mrs. Faiza also bought hundreds of spices such as coriander,
cumin, dried chilli, and so on and then she mixed the ingredients into her own spices. Her own
produce was branded in the name of Flower Rayadan and she distributed it to stores. Mrs.
Faizah is very concerned about the quality of the spice and does her own curry production work.
Her spice was later known as Tok Kadi Spice because of her husband who was working as a
caddy at the time. Then, she has diversified products such as spices, spice soup, beriyani
spices, spice date etc.
