ENTREPRENEURIAL CHARACTERISTICS

According to my research and that have learned, to become a successful entrepreneur

and brilliant, an individual must have the characteristics of high entrepreneurship in themselves
so that business can move forward in line with the progress of the world such as integrity and
reliability, calculated risk taking and firmness. There are three entrepreneurial characteristics, is
owned by successful woman entrepreneur, Faiza Bawumi Sayed Ahmad.

Integrity and Reliability

Firstly of the entrepreneurial characteristics is integrity and reliability. Faiza Bawumi

Sayed Ahmad has run a variety of businesses including taking up sewing, selling various
kitchen items, making pillowcases, doing encyclopaedia sets, and doing plate business. She
also produced a variety of curry spices and eventually opened a grocery store with a capital
selling curry spices. From there, she found that wholesalers are often supplied by some races.
She began to study different types of rice. Eventually she applied for a license wholesalers and
sell various types of rice.

Her business is well-received despite intense competition. Due to the entrepreneurial

characteristics of integrity and reliability, her company is well known. The product is high quality,
one hundred percent made by Muslims and halal. She hoped that the involvement in the
production of these products will give preference to Muslims to get products with high quality
and without misgivings to doubt its halal status. Her efforts were not to accumulate wealth but to
become the largest zakat payer in Malaysia and to help more people in need.

The “Bersamamu” reality program has received major sponsorship from Faiza Sdn. Bhd.
Company. Mrs Faiza's reluctance to care for her family was not an excuse to abandon the
business, and that attitude was very important to her. Thus, it is an example of a successful
entrepreneur and secret to success is to cultivate personal entrepreneurship.
