Introduction

Nowadays, competition for graduates in the labor market is very different from what it was
some years ago. Most people who graduate from university want to incorporate into it.
Previously, the labor market had a vacancy for everyone. But the number of graduates is
increasing. It is important to keep in mind that with the appearance of new jobs and careers,
a graduate has more opportunities to get a job related to their profession. But it's
challenging to compete with the thousands of people who graduate each year.
There are several obstacles that an egressed has finding a job. It's even possible that no
vacancy is available in the desired area or that salary and benefits aren't enough.
Furthermore, many jobs require proficiencies that the graduate hasn't.
Graduates may get a job not only in their origin country but also in others. Working in
other countries may lead to higher benefits: Such as a bigger salary and a better quality of
life. Although, it is important to keep in mind that graduates require proficiency in the
language spoken in the country for the aspired job.
Today's graduates have fewer opportunities in the labor market. But have more tools to
overcome the obstacles. If they are going to work in a different country, it's conceivable to
have an English course or to study by themselves. There are various resources available
that can lead to great learning opportunities.
Knowledge and job availability are two of the most important things to obtain a job.
Therefore, it's critical to study and prepare respectively for the labor market. Graduates may
have a better opportunity to find a job if they have a degree, speak a second language, and
have some experience. But it is important to keep in mind that getting a job depends on
several factors and may not be assured even if you are qualified for it.

Analysis
After reading the six options of the investigation, we can say the different jobs features of
the three countries, both jobs in Mexico are different, the job in Nuevo Leon is a
mechanical engineering and specializes in providing advice and service to electronic and
electromechanical industrial equipment, the salary is $13,000 - $15,000 MXN, but it is
needed to own a professional career oriented to electromechanical an electric knowledge
and also is required an advanced English level. The second job in Mexico has less difficulty
comparing to the previous job, consists in a excel office, the salary is $10,000, it’s
necessarily to have a management system, basic technology systems knowledge and
intermediate English language, if we compare the two jobs, the first is better but it demands
more knowledge, an advanced English level and an engineer mechanical career.

In the case of United States, the first job looks for mechanical engineer design/drafter in
ATS automation, the requirements to job are: career or college courses in mechanical
engineering, proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, or similar CAD systems and 100% English, the
salary is $6,5424 - $7,000 USD (it is too much if compare with Mexico). The other job is
another ATS Automation, but it focus more in systems, this is looking for an engineer in
systems, requires a Minimum two years’ experience, knowledge in programs like MS SQL,
Oracle, and others, and 100% dominated English, the salary is $7000 - $9500 USD. The
second job is harder to search than the first job, because of the quantity of requirements but
the salary is higher.
Finally, talking about United Kingdom, the first is for Junior C++ and is looking for a
software engineer to create a AAA games, it is needed a C++ development experience, 3D
animation knowledge, computer science or similar career and 100% English, the salary is
£50,000 GBP. The second job is from Engineer-Jobheron, and is looking for a mechanical
engineer, it is required to be a Mechanical engineer focus in prototypes 3D-CAD, strong
CAD, solid works, AutoCAD knowledge, excellent team work and 100% English, the
salary it is £10,000. We can’t compare the two jobs because they are different careers, only
the salary can be compared, and the first job is higher but has a lot of facts to take in mind.
A graduated Engineer has opportunities to find good works, but is necessary to have
experience and a professional English, Mexico has great opportunities but if the salary is
lower than both United States and United Kingdom, the best option is go to United States to
found a good job, but the demand is more than Mexico, much knowledge, experience,
100% English, a second language and studying a third language to won a good salary, but
we can found a very good job everywhere.

Conclusions

Every day, from my point of view, is more difficult to get a job because many people have
the same opportunities than me, doing so a competition where there are many factors to get
a job.
My idea had always being that out from Mexico is more comfortable to live, is not about
getting an easier job but having a better salary and benefits, I think that England is of my
preferences talking about work because the work ambit is better and is possible to grow in
knowledge and job position. I know that, in Mexico, we can grow and have great
opportunities, although, is more difficult to get but not impossible.
The companies ask more requirements than in other years for the demand of job,
requirements than previous years haven´t ask but if the graduated had this have more value
than others, now this requirements are obligatory, that is why I believe that the first thing is
to study and get knowledge because this is the key to get a good job.

Job is the dream that everyone look for after university but not easy to get, you need skills
and emphasize about others, this work showed us the requirements someone needs to get
for a job, not only skills of your career, but also a minimum three languages and a great
mind. But that we need to prepare at university, this is a tournament for win in the future.

Obtaining a job according to the needs and skills of the individual is essential. Many people
go to college for better job opportunities. I think it’s better to start working in Mexico since
the engineering field is very diverse. It's necessary to keep in mind that buying a house is
more affordable here than abroad. Many foreign citizens do not have the possibility of
purchasing a residence or apartment, and often they end up renting it, which is a standard
quite different from that what our country has. Therefore, I would like to work abroad after
owning a residence in my country. That would allow me to work for a few years so I can be
more proficient in many aspects of my job and still work abroad if I want to, later.
The requisites to be hired abroad change depending on the country. We can observe that
having an advanced English level is a big plus in the hiring process. Salaries are also quite
different, but it's crucial to keep in mind the daily basis expenses to determine how valuable
a payroll is. Getting a few more dollars but also having to spend as twice as you would do
in your country isn't that impressive. Nevertheless, knowing various languages opens the
opportunity for being hired in better-paid jobs. Businesses often trade globally and, being
fitted to close a deal or decide with different providers and customers is vital for a
company's growth. Requirements to be hired are also vastly different depending on the
desired job position. But overall, being competent in multiple languages is very-well
appreciated. In conclusion, it's vital to keep developing our skills and proficiency in
languages so we can have better job offers and growth opportunities.

Get a well-paid, attractive and comfortable job is one of the biggest problems for a recently
graduated college student, in some cases all your time inverted in school don't care, the
industry claims for an experienced worker, this is the most important requirement you need
to have, that's the reason we have to appreciate those companies who trust in inexperienced
students and entry level workers.
For this activity we had to search for two job opportunities in three different countries,
Mexico, USA, and the United Kingdom, it was an interesting and kind of frustrating
experience, there’s a lot of “job vacancy” for recently graduated college students but it’s
only a mirage, when you go to apply for the job, the personnel department ask you for your
experience working in that area, and they demands a lot of previous experience even after
they post in their job postings that you don’t need it, so there are cheating meaningless
posts you need to avoid when you search for your first job after graduating.
Fortunately, we can found some companies that have good opportunities in entry level jobs,
and now is when I get a little depressed, in Mexico this kind of entry level jobs are so bad
paid that workers in this situation needs to get a second job or endure mistreatment at work,
it’s when you consider looking for work outside the country, both in USA and UK have
good job opportunities but you need a very high level of English, so my conclusion is that
the better opportunities you want the better prepared you need to be.

Looking at what we investigated, we could see that, even though, we could be as prepared
as professional in other countries, the payment is way more superior than the ones that are
received here in Mexico. Not only that, but the work requirements are way more specific,
requiring much more knowledge and experience to a certain point beyond your own
preparation.
Personally, I believe that there are better work options out of Mexico, which is sad but I
think we can become just as prepared than the students of other countries and be up to the
requirements of the jobs of U.S and U.K.

After the analysis of these six jobs, I concluded that we can get a job in other countries with
the education we get in our own country, but something that can complicate the opportunity
of getting the job is the amount of competition we can found when we apply for one of this
positions, also the quantity of requirements is usually higher, and having English as a
second language is necessary for the majority of them. Finally, we must analyze how
expensive is to live in a country like U.S.A. or U.K. and think if working as a foreigner is
convenient.
I personally think that we can get a good job in other countries, but also in Mexico,
depending on how we prepare ourselves and the experience we gain throughout the years.

In my opinion, I consider this type of activity very interesting since it allows us to know
what companies in these different countries expect from recent engineering graduates. After
carrying out the activity, I can conclude that in countries such as United Kingdom and
United States, the applicant is required to have more preparation and knowledge to get the
job, but they are also offered a higher salary.
I think that for us as students, this activity should motivate us to continue preparing and
learning different software, programs or languages; to have greater opportunities for a
better job in the future. I do not consider that starting my professional career in Mexico is a
bad idea, but I believe that we must always continue working to obtain personal and
professional growth.

In my opinion, that Jobs are the most important thing, then we do need to know the skills
and abilities (Auto CAD, Solid Works, Ansys) to be an approval to the world they can do
the same thing than other Engineer from other country, also one of the things they can’t be
a part of this, is the language because the English is the universal language. In addition, it is
the difficulty that always affects the engineer today and the English language is very
important for my professional benefit.

My personal opinion is that when you are trying to look for a job in your field in another
country, you see the requirements that are asked, and there are more responsibilities and
give all of yourself as an engineer and the English language is already the basis for any
engineer and you need 100 %.
