 Maintain proper and relevant accounting policies in line with IFRS
 Partnering closely with other process leads, ensure accurate and efficient
monthly/quarterly closing of financial statements and reporting - helping to drive
actions through analysis, commercial reasoning, and business rationale from a
financial perspective
 Ensure high standards of corporate governance and transparency with
stakeholders
 Ensure correct provisioning of costs on an accrual basis every period and

In this job advertisement, name of the company is ShopUp and they are looking for
some employees for Assistant Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis position.
For dis position the company has description regarding the job which is written as job
responsibilities. For this position there are 13 responsibilities which have to perform in
the company. In this part the company has explained if someone wants to work for this
position he/ she have to do all these activities for the company. Some activities might
me done once in a week, in a mounts but he/ she must know the work and must be
done by them. There is also written the job is for full time.
After the job responsibilities there are sob some requirements. One is educational
qualification another is experience. On the other hand is called job specification. In this
part the company they to explain that if someone wants to work for them in this position
he/ she must have these qualities, educational background, experiences etc. For this
position ShopUp Company they want graduate or post graduate in Accounting or
Finance background and 5-7 years working experience.
There are some additional requirements given also like how much the salary will be,
where is the company, place, what are the benefits company will be provide to the
employees, if there is any bonus or not, their lunch facilities, salary review etc.
Through this all the information we can understand that it is an effective job
advertisement. The company ShopUp wants some employee for the position Assistant
Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis. They gave all the job responsibilities which
is job description, job specifications which explains what are the skills and other things
need to have to the employee and some others information related to this position is
given.

Question 2 (a): Interview an employee in any given position in any organization and
perform a job analysis of his/ her position. You can interview more than one person
for one position.
Answer: We had an interview with an Officer name Husnaiyen Ahmed who work on
Al Arafah Islami Bank at Notonbazar Branch. After taking interview we get some
information how they recruit employees and what are the requirements needed for an
Officer position.
For an officer position Al Arafa Islami Bank look for minimum graduate or post
graduate. Most of the time they give the opportunity to the fresher’s but if they look for
senior officer then want 2 to 4 years of working experience. Employees work from 9
am to 5 pm, 5 days a week (Sunday-Thursday).
At the time of requiting first they check all the CV’s and select some of the candidates.
They might select them through their qualifications, social involvement, personal skills
etc. After selecting the candidates they meet their first viva with the HR manager which
is a pre interview. In the viva they ask some basic things about the candidates, then
they take a written exam. Here they asked structured questions to the candidates and
then they take the final interview. In the final viva the HR manager ask them mixed
questions some of them are structured and some are not.
All the candidates need to go through all these tests and exam and also pass these
exam. The candidates who pass all the test he/she is employed for that position. Not
all the time they took all the tests, it depends on the job position and some bank internal
matter also.

Question 2 (b): Compare your theoretical learning with practical findings.


Answer: In our theoretical study we have learned about Job analysis, how the
employees are collected, what are the process of collecting the employees, who are
the right person for the right position, everything we have learned.
When we meet with an employee who work on Al Arafah Islami Bank and took an
interview, we get the practical knowledge. This practical knowledge is mostly similar
with what we have learned in our Human Resource Management course. We have
already know about the job analysis. In the analysis there are two parts one is job
description another one is job specification which is similar with the bank recruitment
process. So we can say that what we have learned in theoretical study and what we
get from the interview knowledge they are almost same.
