Political Parties and the Amount of Instruments Played in a Household: A

Correlational Study

In Biomedical Innovations we were required to do a survey that would be the basis of our

research study. I chose to research the correlation between political party affiliation and the

number of instruments played in a household. My theory was that the democratic party would

play more instruments because it is scientifically proven that they are more creative than

republicans. My theory had a weak positive correlation, mainly because of my small sample size.

I knew how to format and conduct my research from my previous science fairs, but I did learn

how to calculate the critical value and T-test for my sample size.
