Objectives
 General objective
1. To make of the game show an interesting activity of english learning.

 Specific objectives
1. To use the learned vocabulary in the second level of english.
2. To practice all grammatical rules of all learned units of the english book.
3. To get better expression oral and written in english.

Description

“The trip of your dreams”. It is a TV show and it does the outdoors. It wants to increase
tourism in South America. Where contestants must investigating about the countries
defined in each program.

The program is broadcasting every weekend. Where the presenter makes a draw to
define the destination tourist. Those contestants can win.

To start the program the contestants are presenting to the public. On this occasion
Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador and Colombia are selected. The presenter reports that the
destination is Ecuador and he details the benefits that a team can win.

The teams organize and they participate in two rounds. Where the contestants can
answer different questions about Ecuador. The contestant does not answer the
question receives a punishment.

When there is a tie between teams. The presenter makes a multiple-choice question.
The team has to answer correctly the question for win the trip to Ecuador.

Upon completion of the program. The presenter presents the award and announces
the countries for the following program.

 OPENNING OF THE GAME

Meri: Welcome to game show “The travel of your dreams “. This day we go to see
two families. They will compete by the travel to South America. Well, we go to meet
the families:
At my left, the family Aurich.

At my right, the family Zimmer.

Well. First, we will talk with family number one. Which is your reason for to travel to
South America?

Josué: We love the nature, and South America is rich in flora and fauna, also their
people are very friendly and funny.

Meri: It is good reason.

Well. Now, we will talk with family number two. Which is your reason for to travel at
South America?

Estefania: We love South America because it has good gastronomy and it has different
tastes. We like to eat a typical food and things like that.

Meri: It's very true. Well, we go to begin the show.

First, we go to choose the destination of the travel. For that, we go to take a paper of
our magic box.

The destination is Ecuador!

Well, now we go to choose the order of the topics:

 The first topic: journeys.

 The second topic: fit and healthy.
 The third topic: clothes and shopping.
 The fourth topic: entertainment.
 The fifth topic: communication
 The sixth Topic: travel
 BLOCK 1
Meri: The first topic is about journeys, for this, we will go at central park of London.
Well. I need one competitor of each family. They have to run by bike until to find a
small flag and the winner have to answer one question. Ok!

Mishell and Estefanía: yes!

Meri: The competition will start in 1… 2... 3... Go! (The race will start right now).

The winner is Estefania, your question is: The Ecuador has several tourist routes. Every
tourist route is beautiful. Mention two tourist routes that would like knowing. Why?

Estefanía: The Water Route, because I will know all the Amazon. I think that Amazon is
a beautiful place. At Amazon has natural spas, rivers, lakes, waterfalls and unique
landscapes. I look at photographs and I understand because it is considered one of the
Seven Natural Wonders of the World. I also can rest in hotels built with ancient
materials in the jungle. I will travel by rafting rivers, I will travel by bike for trails in the
forest and I will live with indigenous nationalities. They have maintained their customs
for generations.

The train route wonderland, because I will travel by train. I never have before traveled
by train. I will watch beautiful landscapes, for example, volcanoes, forests, mountains,
valleys and will know the traditions, cultural and skills. Of the Ecuadorians.

Meri: That was interesting. Please applause.

Meri: The second topic is around of fit and healthy. For this, you have to run until to
find a small flag. You are prepared?
Josué and Alex: Yes!
Meri: Ok, 1... 2... 3... Go! (The race will start right now).
The winner in this opportunity is Josue. Well, and your question is: What sport can the
tourists practice in Ecuador?
Josué: In Ecuador the tourists can practice different sports like parachuting, ride a
horse, practiced surf in the sea and climb the mountain, and the people practice
traditional games and table games.
Meri: Great! The sports that you say are very interesting.

BLOCK 3
Meri: The third topic is around of clothes and shopping. For this, you have to dress
very fast. You are prepared?
Alexander and Patricio: Sure!
Meri: Ok. 1.., 2... 3... Go! (The race will start right now).
The winner is Patricio. Please, tell me one popular place of Ecuador, where can you buy
souvenirs?
Patricio: In Otavalo you can find the Plaza de Ponchos. In this place exist different little
shops. Where you can buy souvenirs, typical food or clothes like ponchos, scarf, gloves,
jumper, wool hats and many of the other things that you may like.
Meri: That was interesting.
BLOCK 4
Meri: The fourth topic is around of entertainment. For this, you have to burst balloons.

recommend to the tourists for to know Ecuador?
Mishell: I recommend watching the Ecuadorian film called "que tan lejos" because this
movie shows us the diversity old Ecuador with humor and great photograph from the
Andes to the beaches.
Meri: That Ecuadorian film is really interesting.

Meri: The fifth topic is around of the communication. For this you have to run in

The winner is Alexander. Your question is. What languages do people speak in
Ecuador?
Alexander: Ecuador is a multilingual country with predominance of Spanish. With this
language they coexist several indigenous languages, the largest of these Quechua.
There are other languages such as: Awa, Chachi, Cha palaa, Tsa’fiquí. Cofán, Huaorani;
Zápara, Achuar kichwa; Shuar.
Meri: The languages are very attractive.

Alex: In Ecuador we can find many tourist attractions but the best known are in
different provinces of the country such as: Esmeralda, Galápagos, Quito, Montañitas,
Amazonia, Cotopaxi and Imbabura.
Montañitas
The Montañitas is a town where we can find beautiful scenery and we can enjoy of
incredible tourist places because it has interesting traditions, cultures and typical
delicious dishes. You can practice sports with your family or your friends. This town is
very entertaining because the persons organizes different activities for example, craft
fairs, biking, beach soccer, surf and other activities.
Meri: Really? Wow the town is fantastic.

Meri: Finally, the seventh topic is one question of multiple choice. Who was the first
president in Ecuador?
