Reflection

● ​What did you learn by creating the signature assignment? Be

specific.

My signature assignment was about a marketing manager. I had to do

some research about what a marketing manager does, what

responsibilities they have, etc. I learned that a marketing manager does a

lot of stuff and is in charge of everything and that they must meet their

deadlines. From the research that I did, I learned that when a marketing

manager is working on a major project with his/her team, if something

goes wrong (let’s say it’s one of the employee’s fault), the marketing

manager is the one to blame. A marketing manager should be aware of

his/her employees, making sure that they’re doing what they’re supposed

to be doing and getting stuff done when it needs to be done. I also learned

that being a marketing manager you have to be creative and think outside

the box. You have to create new ideas for your advertising campaign to

sell your products, make your brand be known, and also attract new

customers. From this assignment, I realized that I don’t want to be a

marketing manager or a manager just in general because I don’t like to be

the leader and you have too many responsibilities that fall on your lap that

if something goes wrong and it wasn’t your fault, you’ll get blamed for it. I’d

rather be part of the team and contribute some ideas that I might have and

just work together. I really liked doing this assignment because it gave me

more knowledge about what it is to be a marketing manager than what I

had previously known.
