LORD VOLDEMORT (Antagonist)

THEME:

Prejudice – The feeling or act of unfavourable opinion towards other people

because he or she comes from different social class or group.

Good vs Evil – A situation where the evil always wants to do harm to someone or
something good in order to conquer the world.

Power – When people want to gain power for themselves in order to harm others.

Friendship – The situation when friendships is the only thing that helps the main
character to survive the struggle in the story.

SETTING:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY – It is a imaginary

British boarding school of magic which is created by the writer of the Harry Potter
series. It does not exist in the real world.
PLOT ISSUES:

The plot started when Hogwarts was selected to be the host for the yearly
tournament of “The Triwizard Tournament”. All three biggest magical schools from
Europe; Beauxbaton, Durmstrang and Hogwarts joined the tournament to find the
best wizard among them. Each school needed to select one student to compete
against each other. Due to the grave danger of the tournament, Professor
Dumbledore casted a spell on the Goblet so that only students who were at least
17 would be selected. But surprisingly, the Goblet announced a fourth candidate:
Harry Potter, to join the competition. Harry, who never wanted to be part of the
competition, has no choice than to fight through the Triwizard Tournament alone.

MESSAGE (S):
The importance of friendship – The story tells the reader that friendships are
important and that your best friends will definitely help you when you are in need.

Bravery – The act of bravery of the main character when he had to confront his
fear of Voldemort in order to safe himself and his friends.

Never feel shy to ask for help – it is important to always ask for assistance when
you face a problem. Never try to solve problems alone and always seeks for advice
and opinions from other who are more matured and knowledgeable.

READERS POINT OF VIEW:

Our group personally think that this book is a really good book to read with all your
friends and families. In fact, this book is also suitable for any groups of age. The
storylines are very interesting even though it is only imaginary.
