Activity: B05, Language Link, page 29 

Objective:
Ss will be able to identify countable and non-countable nouns.
Ss will be able to use a/an/some/any.

Warm up.
Ss will look at a picture and describe what they see. Ss will identify food items and
discuss whether the items can be count or not.
Presentation
T will use students’ ideas and examples from the warm-up to explain countable and
non-countable nouns.
Practice
Ss will work activity 6A and 6B individually. T will set the time and monitor Ss´work.
Ss will compare their answers in pairs. Answers will be checked.
T will elicit Ss’ ideas on the first picture presented. T will write Ss answers and
emphasize the words some/any. Ss Will be encouraged to identify when we use some
and when we use any.
Ss attention will be directed to the grammar box and Ss will recognize the grammar:
some/any
Ss will complete activity 6D. Answers will be compared in pairs.
Ss will practice the conversation.
Extension
Ss will be organized in groups of 4. Ss will create a conversation using the grammar
learnt.
