Procedure Phase Timing Interaction
Show pictures/props [if possible] of food items to the
students and ask them to identify. The teacher needs to E 3 T-S
have a playful tone of voice to draw their attention.
Discuss the vocabulary of food items the students might
not know with the aid of pictures. Make sure they learn
the spellings well.
Now, hand them out 'Food labelling' exercises, where S 7 T-S
they need to match the pictures of the food items with
the given options.
Give them feedback on their answers.
Teach them sentence structures such as, I like Chicken,
but I don't like fish… etc. The teacher may show facial
S 8 T-S
expressions to demonstrate the like/dislike emotions.
Make them repeat after you.
Now make them draw and colour one food item that
they like to eat and one food item they don't like to eat,
additionally they are to write about it in proper sentence A 12 S-S
stuctures.They are then, told to present their answers
orally in front of the class.
