UNIT: FOOD ITEMS – “I Like / I Don’t Like”

I. OBJECTIVES
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1.1. Language knowledge & skills
 Name common food items: rice, soup, fish, chicken, bread, apple, banana,
milk.
 Use sentence patterns:
 I like...
 I don’t like...
 Do you like...? – Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
II. COMPETENCES
 Communicate basic preferences.
 Collaborate in group tasks.
 Think critically about likes/dislikes.
III. ATTRIBUTES
 Confidence to express opinions.
 Engagement in interactive activities.
IV. TEACHING AIDS AND MATERIALS
 Teacher’s aids: Hang Out 2 Student Book, food flashcards/realia,
projector/audio, board, worksheets.
 Students’ aids: Textbook, notebook, coloring tools, survey sheets.
V. PROCEDURES
A. Warm-Up (10 minutes)
a) Objectives: Motivate students and activate prior knowledge.
