STITELER CLINCHES NARROW WIN OVER McNEESE STATE

MOBILE, Ala. – Alexandria Stiteler won in three sets at No. 1 singles to secure the University of South Alabama
women's tennis team's 4-3 win over McNeese State Sunday at Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.

The Jaguars improve to 3-0 for the season while the Cowboys drop to 0-3.

DOUBLES
-Alexandria Stiteler and Nikola Kohoutova fell 6-0 to Giovanna Fioretti and Dalia Ahmed on court 3.
-Yurie Takanishi and Yu Fujioka bounced back with a 6-0 win over Charoline Erlandsson and Sofia San Jose Moreno
at No. 2.
-Patricia Martins and Milka Pasanen clinched the doubles point for USA by defeating Marija Mastilovic and Carlotta
Romito 6-1 on court 1.

SINGLES
-Erlandsson downed Yu Fujioka 6-1, 6-1 to tie the score at No. 2.
-Martins put the Jags up by dropping Ahmed 6-0, 6-2 on court 6.
-Takanishi fell to Mastilovic 6-3, 6-3 at No 3, and Kohoutova answered back with a 6-4, 6-1 win over San Jose
Moreno on court 4.
-Pasanen took a 3-6, 7-5, (6-4) loss to Romito at No. 5.
-Stiteler clinched the win for the Jags defeating Floretti 7-5, 1-6, (7-5) on court 1.

NOTES
-Fujioka dropped her first-ever dual match, falling to 22-1
-Martins improves to 3-0 this spring, with all three wins in straight sets
-South Alabama is a combined 6-0 at the top two doubles flights this spring
-The Jaguars are 3-0 for the second straight season
