Topic: Travelling by plane.
Aims: educational, instructive;
to study new words, to enrich vocabulary , to read the text;
to develop the reading, listening, writing and speaking skills;
to learn new grammar topic: Reported speech and to do some exercises.
Learning Objectives:
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
 Read and pronounce correctly the new words;
 Understand the main idea of the text;
 Will use the Reported speech doing exercises.
Grammar: Reported speech.

and say what Chrys and John did when they
travelled to America.

In October Chrys and John went to New- Pupils’ read and translate text.

On the day of their departure Chrys and John
took a bus to the airport and arrived there
two hours early. Each of them had one small

luggage was X-rayed. They waited until
their flight was called. The plane took off on

up their suitcases. But first they went
through the passport control and shoved

When do we use reported speech?


Sometimes someone says a sentence, for
example "I'm going to the cinema tonight".
Later, maybe we want to tell someone else
what the first person said. We use a
'reporting verb' like 'say' or 'tell'. If this verb 6 min.
is in the present tense, it's easy. We just put
'she says' and then the sentence.
