2. Purpose of the Manual


The purpose of this manual is to provide a better understanding and an overview of the common error
messages and fixes on the wiGroup Platform.

1.1 Store ID
Incorrect Store ID Setup
A store ID is unique to each store. There will be financial implications if a wrong Store ID is used.

How to fix this:


This means that an incorrect store is been settled this is a has huge financial implication.
Please make sure the correct store ID is used. If unsure of what the correct store ID should be:
Contact support@wigroup.co.za for the correct store ID.

NB! After changing the store ID please get the store to restart all the workstations for the changes to
take effect.

1.2 There are No Matching Records Error

How to solve this:


Network Node name must always be Server as per the below pic – this error is cause when the name is
set to something else.

1.3 Required Field missing or invalid type used

How to fix it:


Please make sure that the store ID is setup and not left blank.
You must log into POS Configurator, Go to GSS – Restaurant and under Define Custom Fields names or
refer to page 9 of the Installation Guide.

Section 2
Connection Issues
The issues below are caused by connection issues or a firewall blocking the connection.
NB!! If the internet is down, the stores will not be able to process wiCodes.

2.1 Result Error Cannot Connect

How to fix it:


Install the latest version.
There could also be a connection issue, make sure that there is internet on the Micros back office
machine.
Another possibility could be that the firewall is blocking the connection.

2.2 No Http error Content found [HTTP receive]

How to fix it:


Install the latest version.
There could also be a connection issue, make sure that there is internet on the Micros back office
machine.
Another possibility could be that the firewall is blocking the connection.

Section 3
QRcode Printing
Below are the problems related to the QRcode printing on the bill.

3.1 Duplicate QRcodes printing


One large and one small QR code printing

How to solve it:


Log into POS Configurator -> Sales -> Descriptors then select the Trailer tab ->
Under Trailer Record View - > Select Guest Check
On trailer 11 make sure that the wiGroup.bmp is selected and not qr.bmp

If Guest check trailer 11 is only setup

Result:
If the above fields are blank the printed bill
will also be blank.

And if there is no entry on the trailer line

Result:
Only the bill information will print on the slip
– no QR code would print The slip will be displayed according
to the populated fields above.

3.2 Small slip is not printing at the Store

How to solve it:


Login on the POS Configurator go to Tender media > Select 1303 wiCode Pay and please make sure that
the Print validation is ticked.

3.3 Tender Media error when trying to print bill

How to solve it:


Please check if Require full payment after partial tender option is not ticked.
Login on the POS Configurator go to RVC Transactions.
On the General Tab, make sure that the Require full payment after partial tender is not Ticked.

3.4 Slip Printing
Till Split Discount upgrade
Error: Only mobile shows in the till slip after installing the Split Discount upgrade (V3.0.3.0)

Incorrect Correct

How to fix it:


Please ensure the wiCode tender media object is correctly configured and install the latest version.

3.5 Till slip shows Charged Tip

How to fix it:


This is caused by Micros Cal issue on that workstation, copy the PMS file from the server and Cal the
workstation

Section 4
Update the DLL
If you get the below errors, please update the wiCode software latest version. If you are unsure if you
have the latest version please speak to your Micros Incident Manager or log a call with wiGroup Support
at support@wigroup.co.za

4.1 ISL Error on line 515 Max Macros Keys

How to fix it:


Please Install the latest version.

Escalate to Micros
These are non-wiGroup related issues which needs to be investigated by Micros.

5.1 Unexpected Database Error- Error Encrypting Data

How to fix it:


Micros to investigate.

5.2 Cannot connect to MIC-002048-5508:40101
MIC-002048-5508:40101 – This is the server name

How to fix it:


Micros to investigate – usually DNS issue

5.3 Required field missing or invalid type used on Micros
version 5.5
This Happens when the Backoffice Micros software has been upgraded 5.5

Fix
Escalate to micros – they will need to update the patch to Mr6 HFX1
