So,Kp = 0.20
τ = 161 ms
Ki =2.10+10= 12.10

For Kc= 2.5, we get Kv= 2.5, Tr= 0.62 sec

For Kc=5 we get Kv= 5.5, Tr= 0.415 sec

For Kc=10 we get Kv=9.5, Tr= 0.3 sec

Velocity Feedback:

Velocity Feedback for optimum setting Kv= 2.5

Optimizing the Settings:

Gain Kc 2.5 5 10

VFB Kv 2.5 5.5 9.5

Rise Time Tr seconds 0.62 0.415 0.3

Expected Rise time 0.438 0.293

Question:
1. Are the rise times almost the same as expected rise times for all values of gain? If no, what is
the reason for this discrepancy?

Ans: The rise times are almost the same as expected rise times for every value of gain. The small
decimal difference we see is because of the low resolution of the software which cause trouble to
obtain more accurate value.
