I didn’t actually have a breakout session this week.

Professor Lucier gave us the week off but after some


of the recent events I thought this would be a good breakout idea

 Speak on the Delta Chi Fraternity incidence appearing on campus
o How did I and others perceive their “jokes”

 Speak on race relations and other ways people can be ally’s
o Call people out on their wrongdoings
o Not every “joke” is a good joke
o Spotting discomfort in other POC and knowing how to intervene

 Mentees will learn the importance of standing up for their peers in not just
classroom but outside in society
 Not every joke is perceived as such, so it is important to remain mindful of
what you say to others
