SLAB
Ø The reinforcement detailing in slabs shall be provided as shown in the figure below.
Ø Cranks in slabs are not permitted due to poor performance in seismic shaking.
Ø Minimum slab thickness shall be 100mm.
Ø Generally, slab thickness shall be calculated as shorter spam/28 or 100 mm, whichever is higher.
Ø The minimum cover to reinforcement shall be not less than 15 mm, nor less than the diameter of bar.
