Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a 2019 American 3D dark-fantasy adventure film, produced by

Walt Disney Pictures, directed by Joachim Ronning, and written by Linda Woolverton, Micah
Fitzerman-Blue, and Noah Harpster. It is a sequel to the 2014 film Maleficent, with Angelina Jolie
returning to portray as Maleficent. Elle Fanning as Aurora, which is the goddaughter to Maleficent,
Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville also return to their previous roles,
with Harris Dickinson replacing Brenton Thwaites from the first film and Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein
and Michelle Pfeiffer joining the cast as new characters.

SETTING
The principal photography filming began on May 29, 2018, at Pinewood Studios and Burnham
Beeches which both located in Buckinghamshire, England. Filming wrapped on August 24, 2018.

PLOT
Maleficent : Mistress Of Evil that picks up several years after “Maleficent” in which audiences
learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to
curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continuous to explore the complex relationship between the
horned fairy and Aurora, the soon to be Queen as they form new alliences and face new adversaries
in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

Maleficent : Mistress Of Evil was released on October 2018, 2019 and has grossed over $491
million worldwide although it needed to make around $500 million in order to make a profit when
factoring in total budget, marketing and distribution costs. The film received mixed reviews from
critics, with critism aimed at the “muddled plot and over artificial visuals”, but all thanks to the
performances of Jolie, Fanning and Pfeiffer, the film received an Academy Award nomination for
Best Makeup and Hairsyling at the 92 nd Academy Awards. Many fans also mentioned that they liked

From my view, there is no doubt that all the cast is suitable for their character as each one of
them play their role very good and very convincing which makes the story goes right into the
audiences's heart.

Not to mention, the special effects were also good and balance, and they did not over do it.

Maleficent : Mistress Of Evil is similar to the previous sequel which is Maleficent, but with new
journey and crisis. The director has done a great job in terms of the storyline, the cast, plus, the
visual effect and CGI in this movie was very smooth and good.
