Philosophy

“Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood for it alone is the free

expression of what is in the child’s soul”- Friedrich Froebel

At creative hands, we work with the principles of the theorist Friedrich Froebel and the

Montessori Approach. We believe that young children learn best when they comfortable and free

to explore their natural environment, while they are been provided with stimulating hands

experiences through the use of play and ‘gifts’. As educators, we must ensure that the holistic

development of children are catered to and met to enhance their whole development. This is done

by planning developmentally appropriate activities and providing scaffolding where necessary.

We also believe in creating an environment that supports the children as well as their

families. Creative Hands E.C.I believes that a supportive environment plays a critical role in

children’s learning and development, as it provides age-appropriate materials that foster their

development as a whole. All materials that are readily available for children are age-appropriate,

safe, clean, in working condition, and aesthetically pleasing to the children. The environment

also provides children with opportunities for free and exploration play.

The leader and manager at Creative Hands work together to ensure that the school

environment is one that facilitates high-quality learning, and all our staff members are trained

and equipped with the necessary tools to carry out their tasks.

Philosophy
Culture plays a vital role in children’s development, as it helps them to appreciate their culture

and that of others. This will help to impart good morals and attitudes for them to model.

Learning begins at home, therefore parents and family members must be actively involved in the

child’s learning; we encourage parents and teachers to work together to give each child the best

opportunity to succeed.
