The reading and the lecture are both about the lack of reading literature.

The author of the reading

believes that this trend has negative effects for the reading public, culture and for the future of
literature itself. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article.

First of all, the author claims that literature provides us with intellectual stimulation and increases our
imagination. So, without it we will miss out on important benefits. This point is challenged by the
lecturer. She says that instead of reading literature, nowadays people are more concerned about social
and political backgrounds, which also stimulates our imagination and creativity.

Secondly, the author mentions that reading less literature has lowered the level of culture in general.
The lecturer, on the other hand, feels that culture changes. She puts forth the idea that culture has
different creating forms such as music and movies.

Finally, the author says that there will be less writers, because of the poor standards of today’s
readers. On the contrary, the lecture tells us that it is the author faults, because their novels and poems
are difficult to understand.

In conclusion, that’s how the lecture contradicts the reading passage.

Nowadays, our world is full of technology and that’s why almost everyone has access to internet,
which is the biggest source of information. I disagree with the fact that too much information creates
problems, because it is essential to be aware of what happens in the world, even if it is not so
important. It is my firm belief that having access to much information doesn’t create problems for a
number of reasons, and I will develop these ideas in the subsequent paragraphs.

To begin with, the information from the internet makes us aware of the future events around the
world and especially the events which are hold in our country. This helps us to find easily the location of
the events and the time they will be hold. You see, when I was ten years old, my mother was navigating
on internet and suddenly she finds out that a lottery will be hold in our town next week. We tried our
luck and as a result, we won 10000$. This couldn’t have happened without the help of the internet.

Secondly, the internet offers us a lot of information about travelling. There is plenty of information
about this topic, for example it gives us promotions from hotels and feedbacks about its clients or it can
help you to find the fastest way to arrive to your destination. I remember two years ago, we got lost in
our way to Greece. So, we stopped near a gas station, which has access to internet. Obviously, we use
the internet to find out the right way to Greece and we arrived on time at the hotel. For this reason, I
think that the internet has a lot of information we could use.

In conclusion, the internet has a lot of information to offer and there is never enough information we
can get. I strongly believe that knowing a lot of information it is not a problem. The more you know, the
smarter you are
