have a log for every time you go to take pictures.

SHOOT REVIEW LOG

YOUR NAME

Date & time of visit – was this the best time of day/season to shoot?

Location – good location or not? Why? Were you in the best spot?
Did you move around?

Weather conditions – would the location work better with different

weather?

Equipment used – what did you actually use on the day? Review
your choice of kit in relation to the images you shot.

Camera techniques used – What did you try? Was it successful?

Why? Why not?

Things that worked – what are you happy with and why?

Any challenges? – what were they and how did you overcome them?

Ideas for future shoots – what would you shoot or redo next visit?

Notes -

Include a contact sheet of each shoot, narrowed down to around

10-20 images. Show your selection process with colour or star rating.

You are not doing final edits at this stage! The next step is to identify
your best shots to take to post-processing and the editing
techniques you wish to apply to these images.
