SHOOTING LOGS
Here is the template I would like you to follow for each of the
locations and shoots you undertake for both of my units.
You may not need to fill in every section for every shoot, or even
have a log for every time you go to take pictures.

I like the way that the graffiti is all up the sides the walls. I will try to
take shots from the side looking towards the graffiti and also from
the front (maybe).

Research I will try to keep an eye on the weather because I want it

to be a nice, dry sunny day when I take these shots.

Must have shots – One or two graffiti shots, maybe some broken
glass or a broken window.

Techniques to try – I will get close ups. I will experiment with depth
of field, rule of thirds and framing.

Equipment needed – DSLR camera, batteries, SD card, phone.

SHOOT REVIEW LOG

YOUR NAME

Date & time of visit – various times between 16th March and 29
April 2021

Location – The chosen location was good and I was able to get
some good shots.

Weather conditions – it was mostly dry and somewhat sunny on the

days that I visited.

Equipment used – everything on the list.

Camera techniques used – I got some close ups and used different
depths of field.

Things that worked – I liked the location at Taylors as there was

much better detail in the graffiti.

Any challenges? – Trying to get the right camera settings to make

sure I could get the best photos.

Ideas for future shoots – As this was a back up plan as my original

plan fell through, I would like to try going to the coast to get some
shots as was the original plan. I would try to explore more urban
areas too.

Notes -

Include a contact sheet of each shoot, narrowed down to around

10-20 images. Show your selection process with colour or star rating.

You are not doing final edits at this stage! The next step is to identify
your best shots to take to post-processing and the editing
techniques you wish to apply to these images.
