What's the difference between まで and までに?

(1)

「まで」 is a point of the time, place, something has done or something is

happening. And it sounds continuous action.
Let's do homework until tomorrow.
Until dawn
It is open until 5 o'clock.

「までに」doesn't use for a place. Is a point of a particular time, something has

done or something is happening, and basically use for "has to do or has to
be”. It sounds like a dead line.

It will be open by 5 o'clock.
