Unveiling of FutureSkills PRIME – Transforming India’s Talent Story

AICTE and IT-ITeS Sector Skills Council NASSCOM invites you to an unveiling of FutureSkills
PRIME, the largest digital Skilling initiative by GoI on 22nd December 2020 at 3:30 pm.

MeitY-NASSCOM FutureSkills PRIME: FutureSkills Prime is the first of its kind public-private
partnership, between MeitY and NASSCOM to build a digital skilling ecosystem for the citizens
of India. The goal is to create widespread awareness among citizens regarding new digital
technologies that are critical to succeed in careers of the future and facilitate candidates be
certified in these technologies thus enabling both job seekers and job creators. MeitY and
NASSCOM add value to the ecosystem via courses that enable these outcomes.

A bold new paradigm w.r.t. skill development whose aim is to address current and future
Industry 4.0 talent requirements, which indicates that 15%-25% fresh hires are deployed in
emerging technologies, a number that is expected to go up by 40%-50% in the coming years.

The core theme of FutureSkills PRIME is designed around the construct of ecosystem
collaboration and the ecosystem being leveraged. It is the first of its kind partnership between
Government and Industry aimed at making India the global hub of talent for emerging
technologies. Participation by academia will be crucial to drive the necessary success.
- FS PRIME provides FREE ACCESS to all Indian CITIZENS. The portal is offering free and
deeply discounted content including 11 course and 152 pathway - free on the platform
presently.
- Content is provided by top companies and best-in-class training providers who are
aligned with industry defined and NSQF aligned curriculum, ensuring a level of quality
standardization.
- The aim to help individuals (faculty & students) build/develop digital fluency w.r.t.
new age technologies irrespective of the engineering streams that learners hail from.
The platform integrates the knowledge of technology and its prospective applications
along with critical professional skills.
- Certifications based on Govt. recognized job-related standards.
- Over time, the learner on FutureSkills PRIME will be offered the choice of gaining
knowledge and competencies through the technical courses offered via FutureSkills
PRIME and on the portal of the National Programme on Technology Enhanced
Learning (www.nptel.ac.in) or www.swayam.gov.in, both offering courses under
programmes of the MoE, Govt of India.
 - In addition, NIELIT and C-DAC centers propose to take up demand based ‘Bridge’
courses through distinct blended leaning models. They will also undertake training of
government officials, setting up of labs and training of trainers.

In the presence of Industry Leaders, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe – Chairman, AICTE, President
NASSCOM Ms Debjani Ghosh, Chairman SSC NASSCOM, Mr. Pravin Rao COO Infosys and all
SSC NASSCOM Governing Council members will unveil the FutureSkills PRIME aggregator
marketplace

Who can participate - 2 member from the institute should join the virtual event

- Prof. / Support staff/ Head of Online Learning to sign-up during the webinar
- Post the Launch by Chairman AICTE the platform is open to students, faculty members
as well as working professionals.
