Description:
This article provides a list of spurious faults message / BITE deviations identified from field experience on the LEAP-1A
along with specific troubleshooting guidelines and additional troubleshooting information.
This article also provides a list of generic hardware faults along with available recommendations.
During the initial evaluation of a fault, gather as much information as possible related to the problem. Pilot Report (PIREP),
Ground Crew report (MAREP), Post Flight Report (PFR), FADEC Ground Report if the fault occurred during engine starting
or Engine Shut Down, scheduled maintenance report (SMR Faults), Class 3 Faults and Aircraft Condition Monitoring
System (ACMS) report if any are the tools which can be used to better identify the applicable Trouble Shooting procedure.
Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) system trending data can also be used.
Please report to CFM and Airbus any issue / difficulty that you may encounter with the TSM published procedure. This will
allow us to identify new issues that may require specific action such as Fault Detection improvement and / or TSM
improvements.
The following table provides the list of currently identified nuisance faults and generic Hardware faults in Normal Mode:
