Sexual orientation refers to an individual’s pattern of physical and emotional arousal toward

other persons. People can be categorized into three broad categories, i.e. heterosexuals,
homosexuals and bisexuals, on the basis of their sexual orientation. Individuals who are
attracted towards the persons belonging to the opposite sex are called as heterosexuals.
Human rights concerns related to sexual orientation do not include heterosexual population
as the population does not attract discrimination. Individuals who are attracted towards both
male and female population are called as bisexuals.
