PART B
2.0 Site Visit and Communication
Our team conducted a site visit on 6/3/2020 (Friday) at the Sungai Tekala
Recreational Forest to see the environment and the suitability of the area to conduct
CSR programs under the topic of tourism and recreation. We started the journey
around 11am and arrived around 2pm, stopped Friday prayers and got stuck in the
traffic jam. Once there, we paid RM2 per person to allow us to enter the recreation
area. We did some research and found that this Sungai Tekala is a great place
because it has hiking areas, places for social activities such as bathing and cleaning.
There are still rubbish left behind by visitors despite throw into the bins being
provided. The further we explore, the more we discover. In addition, opposite the
entrance there are also campsites as well as toilets and prayer rooms. We think the
area will also involve for future programs. We spoke with the park ranger about the
procedure needed to create the program and he provided us with a Pejabat
Perhutanan Daerah Selangor Tengah. we contacted the office and as a result of the
discussion, we were told that it was necessary for us to go to their office to fill out
some form and they also provided basic equipment such as bin and broom. We had
decided to get some cooperation from KRESMA members as our guide for hiking
activities and to borrow some related stuff and to inform local authorities about our
program in case anything happen.
