A PROPOSAL TO REFURNISH FACULTY LABS 2

Introduction

\Purpose

Laboratories in any university are a sign of advancement and interest in scientific

research and are of great value for the university. Unfortunately, our faculty labs are neglected

and are not given enough attention and care that they require. This document proposes a review

of how developing faculty labs and refurnishing them can be of great help to the faculty of

engineering and its rank on both a local and a global scale.

Background

The main problem with the current laboratories is the lack of equipment and devices

needed to conduct certain experiments and absence of the capability to provide all students with

the opportunity to conduct experiments by themselves due to the increasing number of students

and lack of enough equipment and devices. Moreover, due to the high number of students and

lack of modern technological means in the laboratories, some students cannot even observe some

experiments as they are being conducted. Even further, certain devices essential to some

experiments are malfunctioned and require immediate repair. These issues not only affect the

ranking of our faculty but also diminish the quality of offered education.

Scope

This document has two main goals:

1. Refurnish the faculty laboratories with new state of the art devices and

experiments.

2. Add the necessary technological devices to ensure that all students get an equal

chance of conducting the experiment or at least observe it clearly without any obstacles.

Discussion

APPROACH

The laboratory problem of the college laboratories can be solved just by solving two main

obstacles which face the students in our college. First, the college divide the students in into

groups and sections which is good but not good enough. The college must divide the groups into

more sections which will make the number of students smaller than before. Second, this step is

the most important step to help improve the laboratories. The labs must be furnished with more

advanced equipment. The cost of these advanced equipment may be expensive for the college so

the plan b is to supply the labs with more amount of basic lab equipment.

Result

From the two steps of the solution the benefit will be for both the student and the lecturer, but

will be more helpful for the students as they will be able to approach their lab experiment or

research easily and fluently.

Statement of work

The work to be done is to divide the groups to more sections and to supply the labs with more

equipment.
