Importance of management information software (MIS)
Management information software will be of good use to the CEO of DBS because of the following:
 The use of management information will help in the saving of costs mainly because
application software like management software will ensure that tasks are being carried out
efficiently, tasks such as decision making in the level of management because they

 For lower levels of management there is also software put in place for operational
management in monitoring and controlling tasks that are routine and administrative.

 The organization will be more efficient in making investments as there is information

globe, employing the world’s largest data set to ensure relevant ads. This is useful as it
redirects shoppers with custom ads generated to showcase the products across the web,

customers will grow due the reach that these ads have and the fact that they show

2. Adroll is another good advertising software known for its ability to allow users to sync and
measure there marketing on different platform whether it be on social media, email and is

to use and can work on any website with graphs and charts giving users insight into ad

3. Increased pressure on the IT department which we’ll often be asked to fix problems as well
as making enhancements to the system they weren’t involved in from the start which is

4. The inability to grow effectively is another consequence because things like scalability,

 Make sure the employees taking part in the process consult with the IT department regularly
so that when problems arise they can be familiar with the system.
 Take things like scalability and reusability more serious.
 There must be some form of documentation.
 Employees involved must undergo training to have a certain level of expertise
 There should be a good amount of research done before the start of the project.
 Training staff involved with staff working in the IT department to avoid too much cost.
 The system must be updated often and use of up-to-date software.
 Make sure it serves its purpose.
 Keeping it simple so all employees can use it.

Checks to be applied in end user development

When developing the new system, the staff should consider to do the following checks:
1. Planning, the staff should gather knowledge on the requirements that are needed by the

2. Feasibility study, at this step the project team breaks down the details and evaluate whether
it can be carried out and look into things like cost, time, reliability etc.[ CITATION qar18 \l

3. Software design, this check is when the overall system design is looked into concerning

4. Programming, this is one of the most important where the tasks are divided so that

5. Implementation and integration, at this point the staff must check if the software can run on

6. Software testing, this takes place after completion of the code and the software will be
