To define curriculum vitae and explain seven major components of curriculum vitae.
Curriculum vitae are the written overview of someone’s life work. Usually written to an
interviewer from an interviewee. Its normally abbreviated as CV, in line with that it is also
termed as a showcase of job applicant’s academic and professional accomplishment.

Curriculum vitae has mainly seven components, but these components vary from one applicant
to another since some applicants may choose to include only the information that is relevant to
the job they are applying for. The following are important components of curriculum vitae.

Personal details: Consists of your full name, phone number, email address, registered mail.
Generally give information that describe who you are like; gender, date of birth, marital status,
nationality, and government issued identification number.

Academic qualifications: This describes education history. It includes a list of education

programs a person pursued and the years also the institutions a person attended .example
information on college, graduate school and post graduate schools, the course, grades and awards
obtained at various education levels. This helps the interviewer to determine if your professional
qualifications match the job requirements of the position you are applying for.

Work experience: This component shows your work duration, your specific roles and
experience within that position and to indicate the name of the employer or company.
Furthermore attach any honor and awards.

Hobbies and interest: They should be relevant to the job your applying for , in line with that
you should identify your personal skills like language skills, computer skills and driving skills.
Hobbies are generally something you enjoy doing like reading novels
