 ANTI-PUMPING CKT

NEED:-
Suppose if closing switch of CB will stuck in close position and then
CB trip on some fault, CB aux. contact 52b make the closing ckt

through & after tripping operation CB will again close. But as the fault
persist trip command from relay again trip the CB. This closed loop
operation goes on & damage the CB.
So, there is certainly a need to block the close ckt path by introducing

some interlock. & this is achieved by using Anti-Pumping Ckt.

 ANTI-PUMPING CKT

Working of Anti-Pumping Ckt:-

In this circuit, one NO, one NC contact of Anti-Pumping relay & one
NO,NC contact of CB Aux. relay are used( as shown in ckt. Diagram).

After execution of close command, Aux. Switch NC contact A open

the closing ckt & NO contact B of Aux. switch closes & energize the
Anti-Pumping Relay, which in turn open its NC contact C in closing
ckt & closes its NO contact D for its own relay supply. Now if closing
command persists due to any reason, Anti-Pumping relay
continuously energized & it blocks closing operation.
