Ellipse (four center method)

1- Draw two axes of the ellipse.


For example, the larg axis is 120 mm; whereas the small one is 80
mm.

2- Put the needle of the compass on the origin point (O), and draw
an arc with radius (OA) till it intersects with the extension of line
(DC). This will give you point (N).

3- Put the needle of the compass on point (C), and draw an arc with
radius (CN) till it intersects with line (AC). This will give you point
(M).

4- Draw a perpendicular line at the middle of (AM) till it intersects
with (AB) to find (O1), and with the extension of (CD) to find (O2).

5- Now repeat steps (1-4) to find (O1) and (O2) on the other sides
of the axes.

6- Draw four arcs from the centers (O1, O2, O1, and O2).
