S M A R T Goals
Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-framed
Directions: Read the FYS course packet section on SMART Goals before completing this assignment. Then, write your short, mid, and
long-term goal(s) using the SMART method. Put each goal in a category, short, mid, or long-term, and then write the parameters for
each goal. Use the examples and the questions under the parameters to help you. Remember, over time, you can and should revise
parts of your goals (like the date or amount), based on the feedback you receive by keeping track of your progress. Follow your
instructor’s directions for submitting this assignment.

Share your goals with a friend, co-worker, family member, or instructor. Consider creating a vision board of your goals. Post it in a location so that you can
see it every day. Create a vision board with pictures that represent your goals.
