My destination was Langkawi, yes Langkawi! I just couldn't believe my


ears when my debating team was told the good news. We had won the state
level debate and were representing our state at the finals in Langkawi.
Puan Siti Fatimah, who was our trainer, booked our flight to Langkawi
on the Malaysian low-cost carrier. All five of us were very excited as it
would be my very first flight. I quickly packed my school jacket, tie and my
favourite book of poems into my new travelling bag.
We gathered at the school porch and were driven to the airport in two
cars. When we arrived at the airport, we checked-in our luggage, obtained
our boarding passes and waited impatiently to board the aeroplane.
Soon, we were flying among the clouds. I just couldn't believe that I was
flying through the air. I was lucky to get a window seat and the view was

paddy fields looked like a Monopoly board.
Soon, we landed in Langkawi. I was speechless. This will surely be one
experience that will remain in my memory for a long time.
