Up to 7 CC.
CABIN CREW STATIONS
Cabin Crew Seats (Jumpseats)
CC seats are located beside the L1, L2, R2 (double jumpseats each for up to two CC) and R-
MED door (single jumpseat for one CC).
Each jumpseat is equipped with seatbelt and harness which functions as an inertia restraint
device and retracts into a stowed position when not in use. The seats have an adjustable
shoulder harness with a single-point release from a single buckle. The buckle has a release
plate that must be moved through 90 degrees for release.

Cabin Crew Seating Positions

There are seven CC jumpseats:
• A double rear facing jumpseat at L1 (No 1 sits outboard, No 4 sits inboard).
• A double rear facing jumpseat at L2 (No 2 sits inboard).
• A double rear facing jumpseat at R2 (normally unoccupied).
• A single rear facing jumpseat at R-MED (No 3).
If extra supernumerary Aircrew are on board, SNY’s will sit either:
• At L2 jumpseat (SNY sits outboard).
• At R2 jumpseat (SNY sits inboard)

PASSENGER CABIN
Passengers Seats
- On-board the aircraft there are 197 passenger seats each of which is equipped with a
seatbelt.
- Seating layout is row 1 to 35, there is no row 13.
- Row 1 consists of two seats: 1 BC.
- Row 27 consists of five seats: ABC & DE (No.3 aft-facing jumpseat is installed in place of 27F)
- Row 28 has four seats: BC & DE.
- The direct access seats are: 1BC, 2ABC, row 17, 18, 28, 29.
(See aircraft layout on next page!)

GALLEYS

Technically speaking, on -8200 there are more than two galleys, however, in common
language and communication on board, we can use terms “FWD Galley” and “AFT Galley”
to describe the area, rather than specific module of an aircraft interior.
To facilitate this terminology, we consider FWD and AFT Galleys as sets of galley modules.
And so, FWD galley consists of two modules: G1, G2, and AFT galley consists of three
modules: G3, G4, G6, at the rear (see aircraft diagram).
Equipment and compartments on the galley modules can be located either on “galley side”
(which means they are accessible from the galley), on the “aisle side” (which means access
from the aisle) or “forward face” (term used to describe the surface of the galley, facing
fwd of the aircraft. For example, equipment located behind last row of passenger seats is
located on the “forward face” of galley module).
See below pictures for some galley modules and jumpseats. Although the majority of
equipment location has been confirmed, please note that the official equipment is still
being finalized.
Galley power systems, equipment (oven, boilers, lights), water supply & drain systems are
same as on 737-800.

L1 Jumpseat

R-MED Jumpseat
SAFETY EQUIPMENT – Equipment Diagram… to be confirmed!

Adult lifejackets are located in the PSU, except 1BC, 2A, 2DEF - where they are located under seats.

1x Infant Flotation Device is co-located with adult lifejacket in the PSU above seats B and E except
that in row segments where infant seating is restricted, the IFDs are not present.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT – New type of fire extinguisher:

2BTP (Halotron BrX)
• a.k.a “HALOTRON”
• Standard on each 737-8200, instead of Halon extinguishers.
• Chemical name: 2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene
• Identical in look, shape, PDIs, operation and
precautions to Halon extinguishers.
DOOR AND EXITS
There 10 emergency exits: 4 main doors, 4 overwing exits, 2 Mid Exit Doors

(see aircraft diagram)

Main Doors – L1, R1, L2, R2 – same as on 737-800

Overwing Exits – located at rows 17 & 18 – however identical as on 737-800

Mid Exit Doors (MED)

MED Description
The Mid Exit Doors are plug-type doors hinged on the bottom. A window in the door allows
observation outside of the aircraft. MED can be opened either from inside or outside of the
aircraft. An escape slide is contained in the lower part of the door, behind the escape slide
cover. A red manual inflation handle will become visible at the bottom of door frame only
when the MED is open. An airframe assist handle is located AFT of each MED.
MED can be used for evacuation on LAND and WATER.
The slides at MED are not certified as rafts however may be used as auxiliary flotation
devices. The slides at MED work in exactly same way as those at main doors i.e. inflate
automatically, but we treat them as manual, they take 3-10s to inflate, they can be detached
by pulling the white detachment handle etc.

MED Location
There are two Mid Exit Doors located on each side of the fuselage at row 28.

Pic.: Right MED

MED Pre-Departure Inspections:

DOOR SLIDE
• MED is flush with the fuselage • Ensure pressure gauge is in the green
serviceable band (This also indicates that
• Red indication strip is NOT
the slide has been packed correctly).
visible on the operating handle
• Red flag is not visible in the pressure gauge
window.
• Cosmetic cover is intact

MED – Operation From Inside

1) Hold on to the airframe assist handle.
2) Pull the door operating handle up. This opens the pressure relief panel and lifts
the door inward and upward.
3) Push the door out through the door frame. The slide deploys and inflates
automatically. Pull the manual inflation handle.

AIRSTAIRS
Location and operation (extend/retract/standby mode) same as on 737-800.
No guardrails or retract reel straps required.

TOILETS
There are three toilets, one behind the flight deck, left hand side of the aircraft, and two in
the rear of the aircraft, beside the L2 door. All toilets have access for reduced mobility
passengers. The rear outboard toilet also has a baby changing facility.
Picture: AFT toilets.

Toilet water supply & drain systems, toilet flush, door locking, call bell and fire protection
systems (FREON and smoke detector) are same as on B737-800 NG

LIGHTING and COMMUNICATION

Thera are three interphones: FWD, MID, AFT.

MID interphone is located at No.3 jumpseat at R-MED

MID and AFT interphone are technically the same device, they cannot be treated as
alternative to each other. (i.e. There is no possibility to call MID or AFT interphone “only”,
from the fwd interphone. Pressing 55 on fwd interphone makes a call to both mid & aft
interphone.)

All the interphones are identical as on B737-800.

There are three master call panels. FWD, MID, AFT. Aft and Mid master call panels are
synchronized an illuminate at the same time.

Call bells are located and operate in the same way as on 737-800 NG (BSI)

ACP control panels are located in FWD and AFT galley -identical to 737-800 NG (BSI)

[SAMPLE TEXT]
“Welcome onboard this Ryanair flight. May we have your attention while we point out some of the safety features on this
Boeing 737-8200 aircraft. Please remove headphones during this demonstration.”
“There are ten emergency exits each of which is marked with a red exit sign. Floor path markings along the cabin aisle will
illuminate in darkness and guide you to the nearest exit in an emergency.”
“There are four main doors, two at the front of the cabin - one left and one right - and two at the rear of the cabin - one left
and one right. There are two Mid Exit Doors in the rear half of the cabin - one left and one right - and four over-wing exits
in the centre of the cabin, two left and two right.” “Please note the nearest exit to you, which may be behind you.”
“To fasten your seatbelt insert the metal end into the buckle, to secure pull on the loose end of the strap and to open lift the
buckle cover.”
“In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure individual oxygen masks will drop automatically from the panel above your
head. If this happens remain seated, pull down firmly on the mask to start the flow of oxygen, place the mask over your nose
and mouth and breathe normally. Don’t worry if the bag does not inflate, oxygen is flowing. To secure the mask pull one end
of the strap. Adults travelling with young children please attend to your own mask first.”
“Your lifejacket is stowed in the panel above your head. In the unlikely event of landing in water remove the jacket from its
packet and place it over your head.”
“Bring the strap around your waist, clip at the front and secure as the crew are now demonstrating. To inflate the lifejacket
pull down sharply on the red toggle. There is a mouth piece for further inflation or deflation and a light to attract attention.
Do not inflate your lifejacket inside the cabin as to do so will impede your exit.”
“Further information may be found on the safety card, which is displayed within the area you are seated. Your captain
invites you to read this card carefully before departure.”
“Please now ensure that your seatbelt is securely fastened, tray table is in the upright and locked position, armrests down
and window blinds open. We recommend for your comfort and safety that you keep your seatbelt fastened throughout the
flight. There is a call bell, reading light and fresh air vent in the panel above your head.”
“Portable electronic devices such as tablets and mobile phones in Flight Mode may be used throughout the flight. Please
select Flight mode now. Laptops must be stowed in cabin baggage under the seat in front of you or in the overhead locker
for taxi take-off and landing.”
“We would like to remind you that smoking is not permitted.”
“Thank you for your attention, please sit back, relax and enjoy your flight.”
