How does the Philippine Media look to you?

With all the issues and concerns regarding traditional media, new media, and social media, do
you ever wonder how exactly the media looks like or appears to you? Let us find out with this activity.

The task is meant for you to “put a face” on the Philippine Media. The objective is to find out how
you generally think of and regard Philippine media.

Note: There is no right or wrong way of regarding the media. Just do what feels right to you. Express
yourself freely. Do not sensor what you think about the media.

1. Think of a sentence or a concept that best describes how you think of the Philippine Media.
This includes what you think of local newspapers, films, TV shows, radio programs,
music/OPM or Original Pilipino Music, OPM’s music videos, books, magazines, and comics.
You can write down your thoughts. It is okay if you want to explain your thoughts on one short
paragraph.

3. Gather old magazines, newspapers, brochures, or anything not used in your house anymore.
Bring any kind of art materials and drawing/coloring materials. Using those materials, try to
look for pictures, words, graphics, and other visual things to create a visual collage of what
you think of the Philippine media.
4. Arrange the cutouts and paste them in a long bond paper (8.5 x 13inch).

5. Present your opinion on the Philippine media by passing it on our retrieval of outputs.
