BS. ARCHITECTURE III ACTIVITY

This is the story of my friend named Leo. He is my childhood friend and a batchmate since
preparatory, his mother left him so early and the father of Leo is suffering alzheimer's disease.
Leo’s sibling are now have their own family so he and his father where the only left living in their
house. He continue to study even if no one can help him to sustain his study. When he finished
high school he decided that not to take college, because it is very high cost for him and his siblings
and he cant afford to enroll in university. Leo stated to find some work so he can earn it for every
needs and also tried farming at the very young age.
One day, He meet a girl in plaza and he have been fascinated to her beauty just like the love at
first sight, after that they are now close to each other. The girl is also orphaned she live’s at his
grandmother side. Leo and the girl easily be together because no one can stop or advice them
on what should be do in that stage of relationship. At the age of 14, Leo decided to take the girl
into his property to get married. They keep their relationship secret to their siblings so one can
control them and they are free what they going to do next.
One year later, the fruit of their relationship has already came out. Knowing they are not finished
yet in study and only a self-employed, the sustain to their child was too heavy for them to produce,
and they are also lack of maturity on how to handle this situation and having a family. Leo are
now buried in debt, he regreted to have a own family so early and realized that if only there was
his mother and father to take him some advice on what to do, and if only he continue to study
these would not be happen.
The moral of the story is that education is the key to a successful life. Marriage and giving a birth
is something that is taken seriously. Because marriage aside from being a sacrament is
something that is full of responsibilities; when you decide to get married and you do marry
someone, there is no turning back. To the youth, there is lots of things that should be taken into
consideration before marrying of course including their readiness to take the responsibilities of
raising a family and being able to respond to their needs. Because marriage is not a move that
they can cancel when they feel like doing so.
