COMPOSITION (TO BE WRITTEN IN 300-350 WORDS)
This question is considered to be the most difficult part of the paper, where a student’s linguistic ability and his power of expression is tested. To master this portion, the following steps are followed: 1) choice of topic 2)planning 3) organization 4)language and style 5)length of composition 6)handwriting and spellings. There are many types of compositions - 1)NARRATIVE: This is generally a first-person narrative, where a student is expected to narrate a particular event from his experiences. 2)DESCRIPTIVE: These topics test a student’s ability to create a pen-picture. 3)ARGUMENTATIVE: This is generally a debatable topic where a student is expected to arrive at a conclusion through reasoning. 4)SHORT STORY: This is the portion where a student is expected to write a story based on the given information.

The letters are written in any of the two types:
->Informal letters: Letters written to the family members, like to mother, father, uncle, etc., near ones, relatives and friends. -> Formal Letters: Letters written to senior officials, school principal, teachers, municipal executives, prominent figures of the society, etc. In every letter, we have to follow the main format of the letter and do accordingly.
