Application

Read on the debate between the Catholic Church and the State on responsible Parenthood and
Reproductive Health Act of 2012. Is the debate a case of two different approaches to viewing the truth?
Explain.

I read that Catholic Church and Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012 have different truth. In
Catholic Church they are against with the RH Bill because they said that RH Bill is "anti-life" because they
are allowing the people use contraceptive devices and pills to prevent pregnacy and not allowing the
child to live. Also, they allowing the citezens to have "free sex" that will possibly cost to their heath
problem which is HIV, AIDS, or STD. And Also they said that RH Bill should not advocate the family
planning by using contraceptive devices, pills and condoms, also there should not have sex education in
school because children or students might be curious about sex. While RH Bill said that they want to
promote family planning to the new married couple that planning to have a family. Also they want to
help other people to prevent or grow their family they are promoting a cotraceptive devices and pills
that will prevents them to be pregnant.

Reflection

How do you feel about knowing that there is no single method in arriving at truths? Do you feel
uncomfortable? Or does it give you a sense of freedom? Why?

Yes I feel uncomfortable and at the same time I sence of freedom. I feel uncomfortable because you will
hear the opinion of other people that against to your opinion it gives me uncomfortablefeelings. And I
sence of freedom because I am free to ask other people about my opinion of truths.
